About Gabriel Arnold

 

Gabriel Arnold is a soulful and passionate professional saxophone player based in North Florida, known for his stirring performances and distinctive, rich tenor sound. Hailing from Amelia Island, Gabriel’s musical journey began in 1986 at Fernandina Beach Middle School, where his love for the saxophone took root. By high school, he was captivating audiences in jazz bands, which ultimately earned him a full music scholarship to Florida Community College at Jacksonville in 1992.

 

Life led Gabriel to step away from music to support his growing family, but in 2001, his faith community at Southpoint Community Church in Jacksonville inspired him to pick up the saxophone again. This rekindled passion launched him into performing at churches, local restaurants, and events, leading to a flourishing career as a versatile and sought-after musician.

 

Gabriel is not just a saxophonist—he’s a multi-instrumentalist and innovator. He performs on cutting-edge digital wind synthesizers like the Roland AE-30 Aerophone, which allows him to emulate an array of instruments, from violins to electric guitars. Using a Roland RC505mkii Loop Station, he creates live, ambient compositions, blending original recordings with real-time performance to craft unforgettable musical experiences.

 

Currently, Gabriel is the primary saxophone player for The Rivertown Band, performing at high-profile corporate and wedding events from Miami to New York City. He also collaborates with local talent, such as Trash Pandas, a band led by Samuel McDonald in Fernandina Beach. Gabriel’s music has been a fixture at Jacksonville International Airport for over 12 years, and he continues to serve his home church in St. Mary’s, GA, contributing as a musician, sound engineer, and lighting assistant.

 

In addition to his band engagements, Gabriel is in demand as a soloist and DJ for private events, including weddings, anniversaries, and receptions. His deep love for music and connection with his audience are evident in every performance.
